Currencies Around the World

Whether you like it or not, money makes the world go ’round. I decided it would be fun to collect a note from each country I have visited while Bicycle Touring around the world and share them with you with a brief description of what the bill means. They come in all shapes in sizes, paper, plastic, and denominations. Constantly Updated! TseTse Fly And Bicycle Touring

More from the “This is seriously going to muck me up and cancel any further plans of touring” dept. We last talked about Mosquitoes and focused on the possibility of becoming infected with Malaria, but here’s a new one to worry about. The Tse-Tse Fly. You’ve likely heard the name before but may not know how much damage it can cause, so get comfy and read on.. Mixed Up Messages

Sleep has been a bit of a weird one lately, lying awake till quite late and tossing and turning throughout the night, partially from heat, vivid dreams, grief? Who knows. Overpowered by Emotions

So close, yet so far, I had intended on riding into a different country via Kasane (a very unique area where Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia meet) yet am suffering some extreme setbacks, throwing a huge wrench into plans – initial period of grief and panic subsided quickly – ‘Don’t worry, this is why you are doing this Dave, nothings meant to go smoothly forever’). The last 2 kilometres felt like jelly as I headed towards the first grocery store I could find and looking down at the rear wheel the [read more]
