Links and Resources

Much of the information I have gathered for my trip has been through books, and through other cyclists adventures, web forums, and blogs. Here are the ones that have helped out the most!

http://www.bikeforums.net – A popular forum allowing members to discuss various topics not only related to touring, but other issues such as equipment, commuting, and racing.

http://www.crazyguyonabike.com – A place for bicyclists and their journals – Thousands of blogs exist here and are updated daily. An unbelievable resource for various topics.

http://www.warmshowers.org – The Warm Showers List is a list of Internet cyclists who have offered their hospitality towards touring cyclists. The extent of the hospitality depends on the host and may range from simply a spot to pitch a tent to meals, a warm (hot!) shower, and a bed.

http://www.bikely.com – Bikely helps cyclists share knowledge of good bicycle routes. It can be quite tricky traversing a car dominated city by bicycle, particularly when you need to travel an unknown route to a new destination. But the chances are, someone has cycled that way before you. Bikely makes it easy for him or her to show you the best way.
