Virtue, Liberty and Independence

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is a U.S. state that is located in the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States. The state borders Delaware and Maryland to the south, West Virginia to the southwest, Ohio to the west, New York and Ontario, Canada, to the north, and New Jersey to the east. The state's four most populous cities are Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Allentown, and Erie. The state capital is Harrisburg.

Pennsylvania has 51 miles (82 km)[4] of coastline along Lake Erie and 57 miles (92 km) of shoreline along the Delaware Estuary. As of the 2000, and 2010 census, Pennsylvania has one of the largest European American populations and a strong African American population.

My Experience

I spent an awful lot of time in this state, split between hanging around in Philadelphia in the east, and Pittsburgh in the west. By far I enjoyed the western big cities more than the east. I rode Bicycle Route S almost the entire length of the state which is filled with orchards, heavy duty climbs, tonnes of forests, and if you want to venture off many historical markers, and national monuments. Pennsylvania has shaped up to be my favorite US State.

Spare a Patch Kit?

Feel like helping me along a bit as I go? Any donations will go to maintenance, repair, and what the heck - likely some beer too.
