Even though I average $20 per day, that still means if the trip hypothetically lasts 1 year it still means 365 days x $20 = $7300. The cost magnifies when hotels get involved, visas, and airline tickets. Not to mention insurance, extra foods, and what have you.

In an article I will detail some of the changes in lifestyle that have occurred in order for this to occur, but might I shed some light on a recent development. I live in a rather large Apartment complex that houses 120 some odd people. A protected garbage area exists, where one can safely go down and drop off garbage bags, cardboard, and recycling at any hour of the day. Poking around in there recently I found not one, not two, not even three, but four overflowing bins with wine bottles (20cents), beer bottles (10 cents), beer cans (10 cents), 2 litre pop bottles (30 cents), pop cans (5 cents), and an uncountable number of plastic water bottles (5 cents). To load it up, get it in my car took approximately 20 minutes. Sorting it at the depot for the first time was a bit of a learning experience, but I’m sure as time goes on it will be easier and easier. Total amount earned for an hours work = $25.50.

I think I’ll be doing this more often. Looking back 4 days later, the bins are overflowing again. Time to capitalize.
